Understanding Antenatal Care
Antenatal care is the routine care you receive from your doctor during pregnancy. Regular visits help monitor your health and your baby's growth, and allow any concerns to be identified and managed early.
What happens during antenatal visits?
- Checking blood pressure, weight and general health
- Recommended blood and urine tests
- Pregnancy ultrasound scans at the appropriate stages
- Advice on nutrition, supplements, activity and warning signs
Your doctor will advise how often you need to be seen based on your individual needs. If you have questions about your pregnancy, book a consultation with Dr. Nupur Jain at La Santé Medicare Centre.
